The MATEXT Library
The Library is a catalogue of authored materials and high-fidelity textures. Each texture begins in the physical world, photographed and documented to preserve its origin.
Variations are generated within the physics and structure of matter, and every output is issued as a complete, production-ready texture.
Constitution
A texture in Matext is never an image alone. Each unit carries its supporting maps, metadata, and ownership rights. This structure ensures predictable behaviour, consistent baselines, and clean transfer of textures into production pipelines.
Material Classes
The collection spans wood, metal, stone, fabric, leather, and composites. All available materials are organised into classes and sub-classes, with families that extend through grain, finish, colour, condition, and scale.
Specifications
All textures in the Library are delivered at production resolution. Standard sets include, basecolor, normal, displacement, roughness, …. Materials are provided as tileable textures in up to 8k in resolution, with consistent scaling and calibrated colour profiles.
Integration
Matext textures are compatible with standard tools and engines, including Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Photoshop, Unreal, and Unity.
Access
Licensing is available for individuals, teams, and enterprises, including frameworks for large-scale use and private distribution.
